How can cities help save the future? Alex Steffen shows some cool neighbourhood-based green projects that expand our access to things we want and need - while reducing the time we spend in cars.

The 2057 documentary is a series by the discovery channel. It's an entertaining documentary about life in 50 years. The city episode shows us how much city life will be incredibly interconnected. The extreme interconnection has risks however which we must avoid before problems occur.

The scenarios were developed using Clem Sunters scenario development tools. The particular instruction for this group was: looking ahead to 2025, develop scenarios around the major external actors that will play a role in Africa. The group decided that environmental policies and foreign trade policies were the two most critical uncertainties and therefore developed a best case/worst case scenario around these.
